Have you ever wanted to dance, but are intimidated by getting all the steps right? This free, family-friendly workshop led by emerging artist Jo Dickau-Duguay might just be the place for you!
You will get to experience the joys of dance within a larger creative realm with no wrong or right answers. Through working with different improvisational tasks, this workshop will help you find ways of enjoying dance outside of rigid technical structures.

Jo Dickau-Duguay ·
Jo Dickau-Duguay is an emerging artist residing and creating in Mohkinstsis. She is a current student in the Bachelor of Fine Arts program in dance at the University of Calgary. As a student she has been in performances including Dance @ Noon, TransFoRM, and most recently MainStage. She has extensive work alongside Lane Sayer including choreography and performance in cor et mentem…, an interdisciplinary showcase presented by the One Voice Chorus, and the Calgary Men’s Chorus 30th Anniversary show, and production and performance in a work as a part of a double bill by Theatre Encounter, in the windowlight. She was a choreographer and consultant for But What is Natural? as part of the University of Calgary’s Alchemy Festival and Sage Theatre’s Ignite Festival alongside the directors Nikhat Saheb and Chris Mosimann. Jo works primarily in the medium of physical theatre, but is continuing to expand their range of interdisciplinary knowledge.
